We are a group of women with shared values who come together to make change. We pool our time and money and decide as a group which projects at Adelphi to fund. Our collective efforts proactively transform our Panther community. We welcome you to join us!
The Adelphi Women’s Giving Circle has awarded more than $275,000 in grants and awards to the Adelphi community since 2011.
How does it work?
- Join the Women’s Giving Circle to gather with women from our Panther community.
- Discuss the vision and values that unite us and motivate us to give back.
- Decide which Adelphi causes will receive a grant based on our shared vision.
- Give our pooled contributions through the annual grant voting meeting. Each individual's gift is multiplied by the power of the group!
- Engage with members and guest speakers through monthly meetings held on Zoom and in person. Volunteer our time and talents for the betterment of Adelphi and its students.
What does membership involve?
There is no minimum time requirement to join. We host monthly meetings with in-person and Zoom options that feature guest speakers from around the campus. Throughout the year we have the chance to participate in volunteer opportunities and attend University events.
How do I join?
It’s easy! You become a member by making a donation to the Women’s Giving Circle. Annual memberships begin at $100:
- Friendship Level: $100
- Supporter Level: $250-$999 (entitles you to partial grant voting rights)
- Leadership Level: $1,000 (entitles you to full grant voting rights)
- GOLD Member: Special discounted rates are available for recent alumni. Please contact wgc@adelphi.edu for more information.
