2023 marks the sixth year that Adelphi University will participate in its annual Giving Day Challenge, starting Wednesday, April 19. The Athletics department has greatly benefitted from this effort, increasing its raised dollars in each year of participation. In 2022, we set a campus-wide mark at over $105,000 for a single campaign, thanks largely in part to supporters, fans, friends, and families, like you. 

This year is no different. With 1,896 minutes to give – in honor of Adelphi’s establishment year of 1896, we are once again looking for your support. The money raised on this day impacts each of our teams in its own way, ultimately enhancing the Adelphi student-athlete experience. Programs are able to use the fundraised dollars as a means to supplement its operating budget, which could be in the form of providing more team-branded gear; higher quality training equipment; or even taking additional trips to play competitions outside of our region. 

Our Division II program is highly recognized across the board and with your help, we can continue to maintain and elevate our excellence both in the respective fields of play and in the classroom. 

The Department of Athletics looks to secure at least 1,000 donations for the University’s 23 NCAA Division II athletics programs. Alumni, family, friends, and fans are encouraged to make a donation of any amount to support Adelphi’s over 400 student-athletes.

Gifts can be earmarked to any of the varsity sports programs in Garden City, with special challenges/matches associated with some teams.
