The Adelphi Physics department is a leader in physics at the undergraduate level. As the USA continues to develop technologies such as quantum computing, semiconductors, and additive technologies, physicists are going to have a bright future. We are leaning in to be at the forefront of these changes.
Our professors have been re-working our curriculum in consultation with industry board experts. We have made a shift to focus on core physics, research, intense problem solving, scientific computing and instrumentation. Our graduates must be good at solving any type of problem whether with a pen and pad, via numerical calculation, or in the lab.
As part of these changes, award-winning professor Sean Bentley is leading the development of our quantum information teaching lab. He is currently building a state-of-the-art quantum-optics teaching lab to give students hands-on learning experiences and new opportunities for research.
Your support on Giving Day will help in this development and give our physics students access to cutting-edge technologies that will set them up for success at Adelphi and beyond. Exciting times are ahead of us!
