10th Anniversary Celebration

What a difference 10 years makes!

In January 2014, the Bridges to Adelphi Program was officially recognized as a program by the University. We enrolled 35 students and graduated just three students that year. But even back then, it was clear that the academic, social and vocational support we provide to neurodiverse students transforms lives.

Over the past 10 years we have been trailblazers, building upon our early successes and expanding the Program’s services to serve 120 students this year. We’ve developed partnerships with companies and organizations to solidify job placements and internship opportunities for our students. We’ve extended our reach by offering free vocational counseling to alumni and conducting workshops in local neighborhoods to raise awareness of the neurodivergent community and emphasize the importance of allyship.

One of our proudest moments was when we became the first university in the United States to have a sensory room, thanks to our collaboration with KultureCity.

Our success is rooted in the holistic approach we take toward each student. Our staff communicate with parents, faculty, administrators, and therapists to truly see each individual and create a personalized path for them to earn their degree.

But of course, we would not be where we are today without the generosity of our donors. Your gifts have given us the resources to grow and helped us serve over 290 Adelphi students!

As we celebrate 10 years of the Bridges to Adelphi Program and look toward an even brighter future, we hope we can count on you to help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 to refurbish our Sensory Room. If we can reach $16,000, we can refurbish our Sensory Room and purchase two mobile sensory units that will allow us to provide a safe and inclusive environment for our neurodiverse community anywhere Panthers gather.
