This Endowed Series sponsors workshops that engage our entire community on the critical issues of our time in clinical psychology. The series will enable the University to welcome distinguished presenters who stimulate dialogue and enhance understanding. An endowed workshop series would create a forum on campus for renowned scholars and professional practitioners to engage students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
The Challenge for the Jonathan Jackson Workshop Series:
When Jonathan Jackson, PhD, started his role as director of the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology Center for Psychological Services, he thought it was one of those positions he might grow into—and 36 years later, he thinks he might have done just that.
For almost four decades, Jonathan served as a professor, friend, and mentor to all who walked the halls of the Derner School of Psychology. He has made invaluable contributions as a teacher and is a highly valued member of the University community.
In recognition of his wisdom, good humor, and all that he has done to enrich the experience of all those fortunate enough to work with him, Adelphi has created The Jonathan Jackson Endowed Clinical Psychology Workshop Series.
Join us in fostering a vibrant academic community dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges in clinical psychology. Honoring the legacy of Dr. Jonathan Jackson, this initiative aims to facilitate transformative conversations, ensuring lasting excellence in clinical psychology education. Now, due to the generosity of a donor, you have a rare opportunity to triple your impact. An anonymous donor has pledged $25,000 if we can raise $25,000. If we raise $25,000 together, the University will match our collective contributions with an additional $25,000. Together, let’s make a transformative difference in our academic community.
